The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office has apprehended George Robert Cosper in connection with a fatal crash. The multi-vehicle accident unfolded on U.S. 82, where Cosper, driving a truck, collided with the rear of another truck.
The fatal crash caused the victim’s vehicle to veer off the road and overturn. Tragically, Melissa Craddock was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband sustained serious injuries. Following a thorough investigation, authorities assert that Cosper was operating the vehicle recklessly.
He now faces charges of homicide by vehicle and great bodily harm by motor vehicle. The charges stem from his alleged role in the collision that resulted in Melissa Craddock’s death and her husband’s severe injuries.
