The Brownsville Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning. At the intersection of Honeydale and Lewis Street, Marco Antonio Presario was driving a Nissan 350z southbound.
Adrian Erasmo Zapata was operating a Dodge Charger that was following the Nissan closely.
Nissan was carefully skidding and drifting on the road. He claimed that the Nissan struck the Dodge after it tried to pass.
According to the police, Presario lost control of his Nissan and slammed into a tree. Pablo Steven Zavala, his passenger, was thrown out of the vehicle in part.
Presario passed away right there on the spot, and Zavala was taken to a nearby hospital with critical but stable injuries. According to police, Zapata was also taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
