Man seriously injured after an auto-pedestrian collision in East Nashville (Nashville, TN)

On Wednesday night, a man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in East Nashville.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place on Gallatin Avenue at about 11 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that the man walked out when he got struck by a woman driving inbound. The pedestrian was dragged for a short while, seriously injuring his head. The victim was rushed to a hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and no charges have been filed. Gallatin Avenue was closed at Chicamauga Avenue for multiple hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
