On Thursday night, a man lost his life after being hit by multiple vehicles in Houston.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on the North Freeway near North Main Street just before 11:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation showed that a man, believed to be in his 30’s, was walking on the freeway when he got hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian was then struck by as many as 10 other vehicles.
The victim succumbed to his injuries after the collision. The northbound lanes on the North Freeway were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene. All lanes were back open at about 4 a.m. Officers are still trying to determine how and why the man was on the freeway. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under investigation.
