Man killed after a high-speed crash in Houston (Houston, TX)

A man lost his life while he was speeding and crashed his vehicle into a light pole in Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at about 2 a.m. at S. Sam Houston Pkwy and Fayridge Drive. The preliminary investigation showed that the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed while attempting to enter the freeway, when another vehicle cut him off. The driver failed to maintain control of his vehicle as a result of which the vehicle smashed into the light pole.

The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Officers say that they are trying to find the other driver, but since there was no contact they do not think that the other driver will be charged. The incident did not lead to any other injuries.
