A man suffered serious injuries following a crash in Springfield.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on Main St near Shelby Lynn Lane a little after 9 pm. The early reports showed that a vehicle, driven by a male in his mid-20’s, drifted off the roadway and crashed head-on into a row of trees.
On arrival, emergency crews airlifted the man to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville with critical injuries. Main St was shut down as crews worked at the scene. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
