Man hospitalized after being hit by a Sedan in Redding (Redding, CA)

A man received injuries after being hit by a vehicle Saturday morning in Redding.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place just after 6:00 a.m. on Highway 273 and Bonnyview Road. The preliminary reports showed that a male pedestrian was crossing the highway when a northbound Sedan struck him. On arrival, responders took the man to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.

The reports also revealed that the pedestrian wore dark clothing. It is unknown if the driver involved remained at the scene or not after the incident. Officials believe that drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
