On Thursday afternoon, two men were hurt after a vehicle ran through the front of a shop in Tempe.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at Southern and Mill avenues at around 12:30 p.m. The early reports showed that a white car slammed through the front of a shop and struck two men while they were standing in the shop. The men were pushed back by the car, which stopped after running over store counters.

On arrival, emergency personnel transported one of the men to a hospital with minimal injuries. According to the authorities, the car was left in drive by the driver. When the driver tried to get back in and stop the car, by mistake they hit the accelerator instead of brake. The driver is facing criminal damage charges. No other information has been provided.
