The San Antonio Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday evening.
According to the police, the driver of a white sedan was going north on S. General McMullen Drive at around 9 p.m. when they struck a man who was crossing the street from the west side to the east side and then fled the scene.
The black Chrysler 200, which was following the white sedan, couldn’t stop in time and ran over the injured man who was lying on the road. The Chrysler’s driver pulled over to offer assistance until emergency medical services could arrive.
The man was treated, but the police later declared him dead after they arrived.
Police say that if the driver of the white sedan is located, they will be charged with one count of failing to stop and render aid in the fatal collision.
