Man Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)

The Queen Greek Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash early Friday morning. At around 4:30 in the morning, police were called to Combs and Gantzel roads, which are close to Banner Ironwood hospital.

According to police, a vehicle struck a traffic signal in the middle of the median. The passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, passed away at the scene. 

According to investigators, the passenger claimed that he dozed off and woke up just as the collision occurred. The names and identities of the victims have not been made public yet.

Around 5 p.m., Gantzel’s two lanes reopened. The fatal collision is still being investigated. Additional details regarding the crash are not available currently.
