The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday night in Olympia. The accident happened in the 10900 block of Case Road southwest at around 9:30 p.m.
Initial investigation by the authorities revealed that the victim and the driver were acquainted. The victim was hit by the driver’s car, who then moved the victim’s body to put him closer to a nearby house.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found the victim, a man in his early 60s, dead. The victim or suspect in this incident has not yet been named by the authorities.
For first-degree manslaughter and tampering with tangible evidence, the driver was taken into custody and lodged in the Thurston County Jail. The fatal collision is still being investigated.
