A man died, and another received injuries following a head-on collision Tuesday morning in Madera.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at Yosemite and Vineyard Avenues around 6:30 am. The early reports showed that a silver GMC minivan and a white GMC Sierra pickup were involved in the collision.
The man inside the minivan was declared dead at the scene. His name remains undisclosed. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Police closed down a portion of Yosemite Avenue near Vineyard for the investigation. No other information is available.
