A man lost his life after getting hit twice Monday night on Interstate Highway 580.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place on the freeway east of Park Boulevard. Authorities actively responded to the scene at around 10 p.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. The preliminary reports showed that two vehicles struck the man and his vehicle.
The second vehicle then struck the man while he was on the ground. The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Both the drivers were not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at that time. It is unknown if the victim had alcohol or drugs in his body. No other details are available.
