A man lost his life following a wrong-way collision on the Northwest side of town.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at about 1:21 a.m. at the intersection of Bandera Road and Braun Road. On arrival, first responders found a man pinned inside his vehicle. Emergency crews tried to revive him, but the man was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
According to the police, the man who died was driving the wrong way on Bandera Road when he smashed his vehicle into the other car. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol played a factor in the collision. The incident did not lead to any other injuries. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
