On Thursday morning, a man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident near the Las Vegas Strip.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash was reported at about 5:37 a.m. at the westbound Flamingo Road off-ramp for Interstate 15. The early reports showed that a Toyota Corolla was traveling at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a support pillar for a pedestrian bridge next to the ramp.
The driver, identified as a male adult, was the sole occupant of the car. The man died of his injuries after the collision. At this time, it is unknown if impairment contributed to the accident. The off-ramp has since reopened, officials said. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
