On early Monday morning, a man lost his life following a two-vehicle accident on Loop 410.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at about 3:45 a.m. on Loop 410 southbound, near the Pearsall Road exit. The early reports showed that the man was driving a dark-colored sport utility vehicle when it rear-ended an 18-wheeler that had pulled off onto the side of the highway.
Due to the impact, the driver was trapped inside the SUV under the back of the 18-wheeler. He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The driver of the 18-wheeler remained unharmed. It is unknown if alcohol was involved in the accident. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
