A man was killed after the car he was in flipped down a rugged hillside in Sunland.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place in the 11000 block of Doane Canyon Road. The early reports showed that LAFD prepared to use a “hoist operation” to recover the man’s body before it was transferred to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The man, who is believed to be 40-50 years old, was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No one else is believed to be involved in the accident. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under review.
