On Tuesday night, a man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in Vivian.
As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash was reported at about 7:00 p.m. in the 900 block of N. Pine St. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit the bicyclist for reasons that are yet to be known. On arrival, responding officers found the man lying in the road, deceased.
Officers questioned the driver of the involved vehicle. Traffic was rerouted at Kendrick Rd. and Highway 1 as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
