Male pedestrian killed after being hit twice on San Antonio’s Northside (San Antonio, TX)

On Saturday, a man lost his life after being struck by two separate vehicles on San Antonio’s Northside.

As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place in the 11800 block of Parliament Drive near Blanco Road at about 11 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man was walking in a crosswalk when he was hit by a 2016 Kia Forte. The driver of the Kia quickly stopped to render aid to the man.

As the driver of the Kia was helping the victim, the driver of a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage hit the man a second time while taking a left-hand turn onto Blanco Road. Reports further added that the driver of the Mitsubishi failed to stop at the scene.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the pedestrian to University Hospital where he later died of his injuries shortly after midnight on Sunday. The Mitsubishi was found at a nearby apartment complex and the driver gave a statement to the officers. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
