Male pedestrian killed after a hit-and-run crash in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)

On Monday morning, a man lost his life following an auto-pedestrian crash in Santa Barbara.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place at about 6:45 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, north of La Cumbre Road. The early reports showed that a large SUV hit a pedestrian walking on the highway. The driver of the car left the scene without stopping.

On arrival, emergency crews transported the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Officials have not released any details about the suspect or the vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been provided.
