Male pedestrian dead after being hit twice in Exposition Park (Los Angeles, CA)

A male pedestrian lost his life after getting struck twice early Sunday morning in Exposition Park. One of the drivers left the scene.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place at about 2:55 a.m. near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and West 36th Street. The early reports showed that a man believed to be in his 30s was crossing the street when a vehicle heading south on Normandie hit him. The driver of that vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian.

The man was then struck by a second vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle stayed in the area. The pedestrian was pinned underneath the second vehicle and needed to be removed. Once he was removed from the vehicle, responders declared him dead. Authorities have not provided any description of the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle that initially hit the pedestrian. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
