A man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle late Sunday night in San Jose.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area of Story Road and Kollmar Drive at 11:13 p.m. on reports of a hit-and-run crash. The preliminary reports showed that a dark-colored minivan was heading east on Story Road when it hit a man standing in the road.
The man was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. The victim received major injuries and died where officers found him. The driver of the van fled the scene and has not been identified or located. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
