On Sunday morning, Leticia R Lopez and Donavon J Bradley, both 21, and two children suffered injuries following a suspected DUI crash on I-90.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at around 7 a.m. on Interstate 90 in Kittitas County. The preliminary investigation showed that Leticia R Lopez, of Kennewick, was driving a Honda Passport and taking the I-82 ramp onto westbound I-90. Just then, she missed a curve and the SUV drifted off the roadway to the right.
The car rolled through a Washington state Department of Transportation fence and landed in a field. A 2-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy in the SUV, both from Kennewick, were transported to Kittitas Valley Healthcare in Ellensburg in unknown condition. The boy was not buckled up at the time of the accident, but the girl was secured.
Lopez, who was wearing a seat belt, also was rushed to the Ellensburg hospital with unspecified injuries. The other adult in the car, Donavon J Bradley, of Kennewick, was initially transported to the Ellensburg hospital and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He was not buckled up at that time. It is unknown if drugs and alcohol contributed to the accident. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under investigation.
