A tragic two-vehicle collision on US Highway 79 and FM 39 has left two individuals dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The fatal crash occurred at 6:06 a.m. on Monday.
A van failed to yield at a stop intersection and turned left onto northbound US 79 and FM 39. This caused it to crash with a southbound Peterbilt. The driver and two other passengers in the van were transported to hospitals with suspected serious injuries.
Unfortunately, Lane Wireman, 24, of Greenup, Kentucky, and Seth Brown, 25, of Argillite, Kentucky, both passengers in the van, were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the multi-vehicle accident remains ongoing.
