A man is facing criminal charges for theft and murder after a fatal crash in Dallas. The incident occurred early Sunday in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood, where a stolen vehicle crashed into a power pole on Murdock Road around 12:50 a.m.
One passenger, identified as Karen Mariela Cardona, was ejected and pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts. The driver, Darion Thomas, 26, was injured and taken into police custody. Thomas confessed to a witness about sustaining leg injuries.
He has been transported to Baylor Hospital for treatment while facing charges related to the tragic crash involving theft and resulting in the death of Karen Mariela Cardona.
