Authorities identified 45-year-old Jose Navor Rojas-Resendiz, of Bulverde, and 25-year-old Paula Marie Rojas as the victims who lost their lives following a fiery crash that also killed a 1-year-old girl and a female juvenile on June 2 in Central Texas.

Officers actively responded to the area of US 281, around 8 miles north of Hamilton at approximately 2:45 p.m. after getting reports of a two-vehicle accident. According to the investigation reports, Jose Navor Rojas-Resendiz was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 pick-up truck south on US 281. On the other hand, a 2022 Kenworth Truck Tractor, driven by a 30-year-old man from Schertz, Texas, was heading northbound.

Rojas-Resendiz’s Ford truck swerved into the northbound lane, and into the path of the Kenworth for undetermined reasons. Just then, the Ford slammed head-on with the Kenworth. The Ford caught fire due to the crash. Due to the impact, two juveniles, a 1-year-old girl and another female juvenile whose age is currently not known, were ejected from the Ford truck.

Rojas-Resendiz, a female occupant, identified as Paula Marie Rojas, and two girls suffered major injuries and were declared dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace James Lively. The identity of the semi-truck’s driver has not been revealed at this time. No other details are made available.
