The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash that took place in Fresno on Monday. The accident claimed the life of a man, later identified as Jason Phillips.
Approximately at 1:45 a.m., a Tesla Model 3 that was traveling west, rammed into a curb and then a guardrail on Copper Avenue, causing the vehicle to topple down. As a result, Jason Philips, who was inside Tesla, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
