On Monday morning, a crash involving a semi-truck led to the closure of an interstate in De Soto Parish.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on Interstate 49 at mile marker 186. The early reports showed that an 18-wheeler carrying diesel was involved in the wreck. Hazmat crews responded to the scene to clean up the crash site. At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., both northbound lanes were shut down just north of the Relay Station as crews worked at the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
