On Tuesday, a multi-vehicle wreck near Downtown led to injuries.
As per the initial information, the 8-vehicle pile-up took place a little after 11:30 a.m. along Interstate 35 South near the Cesar Chavez exit. The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a vehicle failed to maintain control, resulting in five other vehicles to collide with one another.
Two vehicles passing by were also damaged in the accident. Several tow trucks were requested at the scene to drag the vehicles off the road. The incident did not lead to any serious injuries. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
