Hit-and-run driver hits and injures two pedestrians in Tempe (Tempe, AZ)

A driver hit and caused injuries to two men in Tempe on Saturday and police are looking for the driver who reportedly left the scene of the crash.

The incident took place just before 6 p.m. near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard. Several eyewitnesses told that a motorist lost balance, went off the roadway, and struck two pedestrians at the northeast corner of the intersection after which the vehicle left the scene.

On arrival, medics transported two men who were hit to the hospital with one of them in serious condition. Police ask drivers to be aware of road closures on Saturday night as an investigation continues. No suspect information is available at this time.
