According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a pedestrian accident occurred in Pasadena Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened in the westbound frontage lanes of Highway 225 at around 2:39 p.m.
According to the Police, a high school student was hit by a vehicle. The student suffered major injuries and was transported to the Memorial Herman by Life Flight.
The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was not revealed by the Texas Police.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
