4 people were seriously injured when a Toyota Corolla launched off southbound I-15 and crash-landed in a ditch south of the 805 freeway, authorities stated Thursday.
The single-vehicle accident was reported at 5:32 a.m., according to the initial information. SDFD said that the four victims managed to get themselves out of the car, but could not climb up the embankment and toward the road due to their injuries.
The current condition of all the injured victims remain unknown at this time. 26 SDFD personnel responded to the crash scene. All traffic lanes were open again after the scene was cleared. Authorities have not provided any additional details in connection with the crash.
An investigation is underway.
