Female pedestrian killed after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 5 in Seattle (Seattle, WA)

On Friday, a woman lost her life following an auto-pedestrian collision in Seattle.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 12:40 p.m. on Interstate 5. The early reports showed that a woman jumped off the overpass onto the roadway near the Spokane Street Bridge for reasons that are yet to be known.

The woman got struck by a vehicle. The driver of the involved vehicle drove away from the scene after the collision. The woman reportedly died of her injuries after the crash. It is unknown if she died at the scene or at a hospital. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under active review.
