An Atlanta father and his three-year-old son were rescued from the river after their car plunged from an overhead overpass on Interstate 85.
The rollover crash happened on the Northbound lanes of I-85 on the flyover to Langford Parkway between State Route 166 and the I-75/I-85 connector.
The driver of an SUV lost control for an unknown reason and rolled off the highway.
The crews responded to the crash before 2:30 a.m. but could not locate the vehicle.
Later, the father and son trapped inside their SUV were rescued, according to the reports.
The crash did not result in injuries to either the boy or the man. Attempts to remove the vehicle from the river caused shutdowns and delays on I-85.
The crash has been cleared by the officials.
