Fatality Reported in A Hit-And-Run Crash In Bellingham (Bellingham, WA)

The Police Department reported a hit-and-run vehicle crash in Bellingham on Friday.

The accident happened at the intersection of Kellogg Road and Meridian Street at around 9:45 p.m.

The officials have not reported the number of people involved in the accident nor have they reported the number of people killed. 

The identities of those involved have not been disclosed by the authorities. 

Teofilo Garcia Uribe, 36, was arrested and taken to the Whatcom County Jail around 1:40 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence, vehicular homicide, and hit-and-run involving a death.

According to BPD officials, Meridian Street between Kellogg and Stuart Roads was completely shut down for several hours.

No other details regarding the fatal crash are available currently.
