A deadly collision between a pickup truck and semi-truck closes down I-35 NB in north Austin on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at about 2:45 a.m. at 5000 N IH 35 NB. Austin Police state that a pickup truck smashed into a semi-truck, trapping two people in their vehicle. On arrival, medics rushed the driver of the pickup to Dell Seaton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries while the passenger died on the spot. Authorities have not released any other details regarding the accident. Expect road closures in the affected area.
The crash is under investigation.
