According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Harris County. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 8400 block of Breen Drive, an intersection in northwest Houston.
The driver of a 2005 Peterbilt truck tractor was traveling eastbound, pulling a flatbed trailer. A man identified as Eric Becker was jumping in front of the vehicles that came his way.
The driver struck Becker in the traffic lane. The driver was identified as Gabriel Valdez. Becker was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck due to his fatal injuries.
Becker’s mental health issues and poor lighting resulted in causing the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the HCSO.
