Eduardo Silva was identified by family members as the man who lost his life following a hit-and-run accident in Pacoima on Saturday.
The preliminary reports showed that Silva was thrown from of his blue 2012 Kawasaki Motorcycle when he crashed head-on with a gray 2015 Toyota Corolla on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, close to Judd Street. After the initial crash, Silva was hit by a white sedan heading south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
That car fled the scene, and police are looking for the hit-and-run motorist. The victim’s brother, Fabio Silva, mentioned that Eduardo Silva loved helping others, and the night he died, he was returning from taking a homeless friend to run errands. No other details are available.
The crash remains under active review.
