On Thursday, one person died and another suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash in Detroit.
The fatal wreck took place at 12:06 p.m. at Fenkell Avenue and Lindsay Street on Detroit’s west side. The preliminary investigation revealed that a stolen Challenger with two people inside plowed into another vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed. The force of the collision caused the driver to lose control of the Challenger, and it hit a tree.
The passenger, a man seems to be in his 20s, died of his injuries after the accident. The 16-year-old driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The other vehicle drove away from the scene after the collision.
An investigation continues.
