Driver hurt after a vehicle slams into a building in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

On Monday afternoon, one person was taken to a hospital after their vehicle smashed into a building in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place just before 4 p.m. near Central Avenue and Troupe Street. The early reports showed that a vehicle swerved off the roadway and crashed into a building, resulting in a gas leak.

On arrival, medics transported the driver to a hospital with minimal injuries. The right lane of Central Avenue at Troupe Street was shut down and Lackman Lane at Troupe Street was blocked due to the gas leak. No additional information has been provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
