On early Friday morning, one person suffered injuries following a rollover crash in Shreveport.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident was reported a little after 6 a.m. on E. Flournoy Lucas (La. Hwy. 523) near the terminus for Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The early reports showed that the big rig overcorrected and overturned for undetermined reasons. The driver of the semi incurred only minimal injuries.

The truck was carrying a silica sand product and oil. Department of Environment was called at the scene for clean-up efforts and a tow for the truck. Motorists were asked to adopt an alternate route. E. Flournoy Lucas was shut down as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is continuing.
