The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Rusk County on Sunday morning. The Rusk County Office of Emergency Management stated that the accident happened on State Highway 42 close to County Road 162. The events leading up to the crash are not known at this time.
The driver passed away at the scene from the fatal injuries. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. The fatal collision is being investigated by the officials.
