On Wednesday morning, a driver was arrested following a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus near Henderson.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, officers actively responded to the crash scene at about 6:50 a.m. on County Road 414, just south of Henderson. As per the initial reports, the driver of the school bus was heading north on CR 414 approaching a private drive.
The driver of a second vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, was stopped on a private drive, pulled out of the drive, and crashed into the right side of the school bus. No one in the bus suffered injuries after the collision.
The driver of the second vehicle was arrested for no driver’s license, failing to yield the right of way, private drive and failing to report non-injury accident at once to proper authorities. It is unknown at this time if the driver of the jeep received any injuries as a result of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
