Troopers looked into a deadly accident between a semi-truck and an SUV that claimed life of a 21-year-old Claudio Romero. The incident took place on a slippery road on IH-45 near Fairfield.
DPS said that a Volvo big rig smashed into a Ford Explorer that lost balance after slipping on ice and crossing into Volvo’s path.
The driver of the Ford, Claudio Romero, 21, of Ennis, dead at the scene, says DPS. However, the truck driver did not suffer any injuries.
DPS officials advised motorists to driving carefully on ice and snow. Additionally, officials said that if you’re fishtailing or sliding at all, it probably means that you are going too fast for the conditions.
