Dalton Trace Florida died in fatal two-vehicle accident on Highway 79 (Dean, TX)

Texas DPS officials have named the person who lost his life in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 79 just North of Dean.

Authorities identified the victim as Dalton Trace Florida, 18, of Wichita Falls.

Florida was a former student of Rider High School, according to officials with the Wichita Falls Independent School District.

According to officials, Dalton Trace Florida was going south on Highway 78 in a 2002 Ford Escape at around 4:15 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, he swerved into the northbound lane of traffic.

Mr. Florida smashed into a 2014 Mack Truck Tractor and semi-trailer. Medical crew removed him from the vehicle. However, he died on the scene.

However, the driver of the tractor and semi-trailer, Lawrence Maly of Waukomis, Oklahoma, did not cope any injuries.
