Crews responded after a fiery crash in South Austin.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle collision took place on South First Street. The fire was initially thought to be a structure fire, but it was later said to be the result of a two-vehicle accident. One of the cars involved reportedly caught fire up against a privacy fence.
Both drivers were evaluated and were not taken by ambulance. The incident led to the closure of South First Street between Lightsey and W. Alpine. Officials urged motorists to avoid the area. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
