A tragic fatal collision transpired on North Joe Ramsey Boulevard near Delano Street, as reported by the Greenville Police Department. The multi-vehicle accident was reported around 9:53 a.m.
The driver of the passenger car, identified as Charlotte Igwe, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Kerry Crews. Following Crews’ inquest, Igwe’s next of kin were notified, and an autopsy was ordered.
Accounts from witnesses and evidence gathered indicated that Igwe’s southbound car veered into the northbound lane. Simultaneously, a commercial vehicle, transporting crushed concrete, was heading northbound. Despite the operator’s evasive maneuvers, a fatal crash became inevitable.
