On Wednesday, at least two people sustained injuries following a crash involving a car and a big rig in Central Avenue.
The two-vehicle crash occurred just before 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Minnewawa Avenue. As per reports, a white Honda driver missed a stop sign while traveling south while a big rig coming from the west could not stop in time to avoid hitting the Honda.
As a result, the semi-truck T-boned the white Honda, leaving its driver trapped in the car. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene and utilized heavy machinery to cut the vehicle and take the victim out of the car. Emergency rescuers rushed the man in Honda to a hospital in serious condition. The identities of the injured persons remain undisclosed at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
