On Monday afternoon, a 37-year-old woman lost her life after she crashed her car into the back of an 18-wheeler on I-45/North Freeway.
According to Houston police, the woman was driving a white GMC Yukon and she failed to control her speed and rear-ended an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer that was stopped on the freeway due to heavy traffic.
The driver of the 18-wheeler remained on scene and cooperated with the officials. The driver of the 18-wheeler did not show any signs of intoxication. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed at this time.
The authorities will continue to investigate the fatal crash.
