Car slams into a Chinatown restaurant in downtown Los Angeles; driver charged (Los Angeles, CA)

Authorities reported that a vehicle ran into a Chinatown restaurant in Los Angeles.

The single-vehicle crash took place in downtown Los Angeles. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle plowed into a building for undetermined reasons. According to the authorities, there was an apparent struggle between the suspect and officers at the scene. Reports further added that the suspect was screaming at the officers and emergency responders who wanted to provide aid to her after the accident.

The woman was transported to a Los Angeles Police Department station where she might be booked and charged with an assault charge on a peace officer. The building had major damage due to the collision. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
